“IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit (ILS) 2018” is going to be held from 12-13 October, 2018 at Dhaka with the theme of “Dream| Believe| Achieve |Empower”.
This global summit will be organized by IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group of Bangladesh which is going to be the first time in the history of IEEE Bangladesh section since inception in 1993. IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit is a global initiative that focus on Inspiration, Leadership, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship for early carrier, mid carrier and senior women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Summit will also provide a great opportunity for networking, mentorship and collaboration. Moreover, to inspire more women and female students to be involved in humanitarian technology based activities, a WIE Humanitarian project competition is going to be collocated with the summit.
Spanning over two days featuring Tech Professionals across the globe, the summit aspires to prepare grounds for all the delegates to ponder promising ideas on Innovation, Inspiration, Leadership, Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, Emerging technology, Disruptive technology, Humanitarian technologies and emerging medical research.

Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is world’s largest technical professional organization, operating across 160 countries and Women in Engineering (WIE) is its most active affinity group dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering. Women in Engineering Affinity Group of IEEE Bangladesh Section, which is operating since 2011 and currently has around 1000 enlisted student and professional members, has been carrying out various research, educational, professional and humanitarian technology based scientific activities in regular basis creating a global platform for the women leaders in STEM field in academia, industry and entrepreneurial sector in Bangladesh. This has led WIE AG, IEEE Bangladesh Section to secure remarkable individual and group achievement and global awards since its inception in 2011.
