‘ArmadeA’ aspires to be a genuine leather haven

At the ongoing National SME Fair-2021, which commenced on Sunday (Dec. 5) with people thronging in front of the stalls, about 325 entrepreneurs from throughout the country presented their products and lured crowds by giving large discounts.

‘ArmadeA,’ a sister company of ‘OKSHOP,’ has participated in the ongoing expo with stall number C-161 to showcase their items. Since June 2015, ‘OKSHOP’ has been addressing local demand for various e-commerce products. Alauddin Sohel, the company’s owner, stated that they are marketing ‘Armadea’ and all of its creative leather products, including leather footwear, luggage, ladies and gents jackets, official bags, laptop bags, messenger bags, wallets, belts, and notebook covers.

Alauddin Sohel, a young entrepreneur and owner of Okshopbd.com, reflected on his early struggles and told Fintech, “When I launched my e-commerce firm in June 2015, I only had a Tk 5,000 investment.” My e-commerce company now employs 15 individuals. This year, savings of up to 20% are available on a variety of products.

Throwback to his struggling days, he explained and said “I am a student of Mechanical. Due to the loss of my father’s business, I had to leave Graduation for a while to take care of the family. In the absence of a job then I decided that I will do business. Besides doing business, I started doing coaching, fish farming, etc. and many more, but capital has always been act as a hindrance to forth.

“After multiple failed attempts, I founded OKSHOP, a new e-commerce firm.” “Success began to follow shortly after the formation of OKSHOP,” he continued.

In its continuation, for a while, I find the leather business idea. I start a leather goods selling business since 2019 Named ‘ArmadeA’. It’s a sister concern of ‘OKSHOP’. At first we were collect product from different types of source. Later, with the encouragement of my wife who is also an architect and my own efforts, I set up a Leather bag factory with only one artisan. And since then we have gradually moved forward to today’s stage.

When it comes to the purpose of ‘Armadea,’ “In order to meet Armadea’s aims and objectives, we are constantly working on increasing our quality, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction, and providing all forms of technical support to our valued customers.”

“In order to better serve our customers, we are implementing technological advancements such as a user-friendly Website interface, a simple payment mechanism, and a one-stop information service.” He stated, “Easy delivery system.”

ArmadeA’s long-term goal has been to open showrooms in all of Bangladesh’s divisional and district cities since the company’s inception. “By the year 2026, we want to have created more than 100 jobs.” We will also export our goods internationally. So that demand for and quality of our local leather products grows over the world,” he suggested.
