Entrust Datacard, a leading global provider of trusted identity and secure transaction technologies has co-hosted an event with LEADS Corporation Limited, Bangladesh titled “Payments, Identity and Security Seminar 2018” on July10, 2018 at The Westin Dhaka in Bangladesh. The event was aimed at accelerating growth, creating new opportunities and driving greater agility in the payment and security marketplace.
As omni-channel experience is becoming extremely important for the future generation, it therefore becomes very imperative that the banks and government are in synch and increase their service levels to address this opportunity. Banks are increasing their service levels by introducing Digital Payment methods through Cards (i.e. Debit, Credit, Prepaid, Gifts, etc), Mobile, Digital Branches or e-lobby, Social Media, and many innovative avenues. Though Digital is the need of the hour it also brings along with it security challenges which the government has put a plan together to address and eliminate any internal or external threats that arise under the able guidance of the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Attendees at the event have been informed how to secure confidential data and identities, and learned how Entrust Datacard and LEADS helporganizations to drive change and evolve to become financial leaders in the world.Consultants from Entrust Datacard and LEADS have provided presentations on Trends and Emerging Technologies for Digital Payment and Security.
At the event General Manager, Payment Systems Department, Bangladesh Bank Ms. Lila Rashid was present as Guest Speaker. Mr. Angus McDougall, Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific, Entrust Datacard; Mr. Ranjit Nambiar, Managing Director, India & South Asia, Entrust Datacard; Mr. Shaikh Wahid, CEO & Managing Director, LEADS Corporation were present at the event.
