Secretary of Ministry of Commerce Dr Md Jafar Uddin Secretary has assured for implementation of the proposed reform of Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) for export diversification and supportive policies for Non- ready-made garments (RMG) sectors.
He came up with the assurance while co-chairing the 8th meeting of Trade and Investment (T&I) Working Committee of BUILD on December 31 last at the auditorium of the Ministry of Commerce at the secretariat here.
He also requested BUILD to send all proposals coming out of the Trade and Investment Working Committee meeting.
He said the proposals raised at the Trade and Investment Working Committee meeting should be sent to the Ministry of Commerce.
He also said that action metrics would be sent along with the recommendations so that the reform proposals could be properly implemented in coordination with other ministries.
Barrister Nihad Kabir, President, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BUILD Ferdaus Ara Begum , representatives of various ministries and government agencies and leading personalities of the private sector, among others, were present on the occasion.
