BSIA Launches Silicon River & BRAINGAIN USA Roadshow 2026

Dhaka, Bangladesh | June 4, 2026

The Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) is pleased to announce the launch of the BSIA USA Roadshow 2026, a multi-city initiative under the Silicon River and BRAINGAIN programs aimed at strengthening Bangladesh’s engagement with the global semiconductor ecosystem and mobilizing Bangladeshi-origin technology leaders around the world.

The roadshow, taking place from June 5-13, 2026, will bring together semiconductor companies, universities, accelerators, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, policymakers, and members of the Bangladeshi diaspora across the United States.

The initiative is being led by BSIA President Mr. M. A. Jabbar and Professor Muhammad Mustafa Hussain of Purdue University, Chief Architect of the Silicon River Bangladesh Initiative, with participation from BSIA leadership, industry representatives, academic partners, members of the BRAINGAIN network, and representatives from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Washington, D.C.

The roadshow will cover major semiconductor and innovation hubs across the United States.

On June 5 in Austin, Texas, the delegation will engage with AMD, Tokyo Electron (TEL), and NXP Semiconductors to discuss semiconductor workforce development, industry collaboration, and future partnership opportunities.

On June 6, a BRAINGAIN Reception Lunch will bring together Bangladeshi-origin semiconductor professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, and technology leaders.

On June 7 in Phoenix, Arizona, a BRAINGAIN Reception Dinner will strengthen ties between Bangladesh and the growing community of Bangladeshi-origin professionals working throughout the semiconductor and advanced technology sectors.

On June 8, the delegation will visit Arizona State University (ASU) and Cactus Materials, focusing on university-industry collaboration, advanced materials research, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

On June 9 in Silicon Valley, meetings are scheduled with SanDisk and GlobalFoundries, followed by engagements with industry leaders and technology stakeholders.

On June 10 in Folsom, California, the delegation will visit Synopsys and Credo Technology Group, followed by a BRAINGAIN Reception Dinner.

On June 11 in Silicon Valley, engagements are planned with Intel, Arm, and invited semiconductor industry leaders, culminating in the flagship BRAINGAIN Banquet Reception, which will bring together Bangladeshi-origin executives, professors, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and global semiconductor leaders.

On June 12, the delegation will engage with YES (Engineering the Intelligent Future) and Berkeley SkyDeck, one of the world’s leading startup accelerators, to explore opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship, venture creation, and technology commercialization.

The roadshow will conclude on June 13 in Portland, Oregon, with a final BRAINGAIN Reception Dinner bringing together Bangladeshi-origin technology professionals from the Pacific Northwest region.

The BSIA USA Roadshow 2026 forms part of the broader Silicon River Initiative, a long-term movement dedicated to connecting Bangladesh with leading global technology ecosystems through talent development, industry partnerships, research collaboration, entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic international engagement.

Over the past year, the Silicon River Initiative has helped catalyze a number of strategic efforts, including the National Semiconductor Symposium, the BEAR Summit, semiconductor workforce development programs, BRAINGAIN, CREST, BASICS, STAR Facility planning, international industry engagement, and the mobilization of Bangladesh’s global technology diaspora.

BSIA President M. A. Jabbar said, “Bangladesh’s greatest competitive advantage is its people. Through Silicon River and BRAINGAIN, we are building bridges between global expertise and national aspirations. Our goal is to create opportunities for future generations, strengthen our innovation ecosystem, and position Bangladesh as a meaningful participant in the technologies that will shape the future.”

Professor Muhammad Mustafa Hussain, Chief Architect of the Silicon River Bangladesh Initiative, said,“The future of Bangladesh’s semiconductor ecosystem will depend on talent, partnerships, and sustained collaboration. This roadshow is designed to strengthen relationships with global industry leaders, universities, entrepreneurs, investors, and the Bangladeshi diaspora while creating pathways for knowledge exchange, workforce development, innovation, and long-term ecosystem growth.”

The roadshow is expected to strengthen relationships between Bangladesh and the global semiconductor industry while creating new opportunities for collaboration in workforce development, research, chip design, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and emerging technologies.
