Uber Eats, an affiliate of US multinational ride sharing company Uber has announced completing its last day of operation in Bangladesh on Tuesday.

Launched its journey as the first international ride-sharing platform entering Bangladesh in 2016, Uber Eats announced on May 19 to discontinue its online food delivery services in Bangladesh from June 2.

The company announced its closure just after a year of partnering with local restaurants to offer convenient and reliable food delivery.

Through an email to registered users in Bangladesh today, the company thanked the entire Uber Eats Bangladesh community for their support during their journey.

However, ride sharing services of Uber will continue in Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar, reports Dhaka Tribune.
