
An amateur cricket tournament happened between Brac Bank Limited and City Bank Limited and the final match took place at the BKSP Cricket Field on January 8 this year.
BRAC Bank Cricket Team has won the Corporate Amateur Cricket Tournament T40- 2020-21 (CACT) by defeating The City Bank Limited Cricket Team by four runs in the final match.
It is BRAC Bank’s maiden CACT championship.
BRAC Bank gave a massive target of 239 runs after City Bank won the toss and sent them to bat. City Bank could only reach 234 with 11 runs required in the breath-taking final over.
BRAC Bank’s Ferose Mahmud bowled the last over and made three run-outs to seal the match. Earlier, he scored 63 of 58 balls, the highest among the BRAC Bank batters. Ferose was named Man of the Match.

BRAC Bank’s managing director and CEO, Selim RF Hussain attending the final game and one of the prize givers said, “I thank the organizers for pulling out an excellent tournament. Corporate Amateur Cricket Association (CACA), organizer of the Corporate Amateur Cricket Tournament, was established in 2011 by a few cricket-loving individuals, who visualized this platform to be the stairway to a weekend getaway for cricket crazy people who are affectionate towards the game, according to the press release from Brac Bank media corner.
The first tournament had amateur cricket teams from Cadet College Club Limited, Grameenphone, BRAC Bank, British American Tobacco Bangladesh, and BanglaTrac, as participants.
