The fourth edition of BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services) National ICT Awards 2020 is going to be kicked off . In this regard, BASIS organized a virtual press meet on January 11 this year.
Moderating the even in his welcome speech, Rashed Kamal, co-convener, BASIS National ICT Awards 2020, said, “The award ceremony is going to be vast this year compared to previous ones. Total 105 awards will be given to the winners in 35 categories with certification in BASIS National ICT Awards 2020.”
IPDC Managing Director and CEO Mominul Islam attended the meeting and said, this ceremony is aimed at providing recognition to individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs and organisations for their outstanding achievements.
BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir and Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman also spoke to the press meet.
Syed Almas Kabir said, “Through this award we select and reward innovative and promising IT projects across the country. The various categories of projects highlight the vast potential of our IT sector. Highlighting the potentialities of Bangladesh IT sector, the innovative projects are nominated for the competition of international arena”.
Farhana A Rahman hopes that the trial process of this year’s BASIS National ICT Award will take to the new heights for using technology. She also urges to increase the number of women participants in this program.
