Imran Fahad wins the 1st Prize of Entrepreneurship, Skills & Employment Camp

The Closing Ceremony of the Entrepreneurship, Skills & Employment Camp of Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020 was held on 12 June 2021 on virtual platform. Minister for the Planning Ministry of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. M. A. Mannan MP was present as the chief guest at the program. State Minister for the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel MP was present as the Chairperson of the ceremony. President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Taha Ayhan joined the event as the guest of Honor. Mr. Md. Akhter Hossain, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports was present as Special Guest. The Director-General of the Department of Youth Development Mr. Md. Azharul Islam Khan was also present at the event.

The Closing ceremony was started with an audio-visual presentation describing the overall activity of the competition. 

Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. M. A. Mannan MP said in his speech as the chief guest of the event,In order to accelerate the ongoing trend of socio-economic development of our country, we need to involve more of this huge number of young people with decision-making, ideas, and innovations to build a resilient and sustainable future”.

Chairperson of this closing ceremony, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP said in his speech, “Bangladesh currently has a population of 53 million youth who are the prime force for the nation towards the targets, set by our Honorable Prime Minister, achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030”.

The Guest of Honor of the occasion, President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Mr. Taha Ayhan said, “Providing an entrepreneurial ecosystem for young people is a collective responsibility for all the stakeholders in the international community. As a youth institution and companion, ICYF will ensure keep doing our best effort to serve you all of the OIC Region and beyond to better reach out to their potential make them conquer their goals”.

Speaking as the special guest, Mr. Md Akhter Hossain, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports said, “I hope the youth who participated in this event have learned from the training and mentorship sessions and will contribute with their innovative ideas and solutions to better manage the problem and to build a better future for all.”

Mr. Md. Azharul Islam Khan, Director General, Department of Youth Development, has said in his welcome speech, “all the initiative taken by the Entrepreneurship, Skills & Employment Camp has increased the participants’ potentials. By training pre-seed/seed/early-stage startups, ESEC has increased the participants’ knowledge of the market, business model, and enhanced their presentation, management and networking skills.”

The winners of this competition was declared in this closing ceremony. The chief guest of the event Mr. M. A. Mannan MP, Chairperson of the event Mr. Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel MP, and Special Guest Taha Ayhan declared the name of the winners.Mr Imran Fahad from Bangladesh is the champion of this competition for his Startup Inspiring Bangladesh, Mr Albarasneh Ali from Jordan is the 1st Runnerup of this competition for his startup PostHub, Mr Mohammad Naufal from Indonesia is the 2nd Runnerup of this competition for his startup Carbon Addons.

The top three participants have received prize money and all the International level participants have received certification.
